This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies Bronsik uses, why we use them, and how you can control them. We use a minimal set of cookies — only what is necessary to provide a working, personalized experience. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
This policy applies to both the Bronsik web app (bronsik.cloud) and the Bronsik Android app. For the mobile app, please also see Section 4 on similar technologies used in that context.
2.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for Bronsik to operate. Without them, you cannot sign in, maintain a session, or use the Service. You cannot opt out of strictly necessary cookies while using Bronsik.
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| sb-access-token | Keeps you signed in — stores your authentication session token | Session / 1 hour | Essential |
| sb-refresh-token | Automatically refreshes your session so you stay logged in without re-entering your password | 7 days | Essential |
| sb-auth-token | Server-side session state used to verify your identity on protected routes | Session | Essential |
2.2 Analytics Cookies
We currently do not use third-party analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics or Mixpanel). We may collect anonymized, aggregated usage data through our own backend infrastructure (e.g., error logs and feature usage counts), but this does not involve placing any cookies on your device.
2.3 Advertising Cookies
We do not use advertising cookies of any kind. Bronsik does not run ads, does not build advertising profiles, and does not share your data with ad networks — ever.
2.4 Performance Cookies
We do not currently use dedicated performance monitoring cookies. Basic performance data (response times, error rates) is collected by our infrastructure providers in an aggregated, non-personally-identifiable form.
In addition to cookies, the Bronsik web app uses your browser's local storage to save your preferences. Local storage data is stored entirely on your device and is never transmitted to our servers. You can clear it at any time through your browser's developer tools or privacy settings.
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| theme | Stores your display theme preference (dark mode) | Persistent | Functional |
| selectedAvatar | Remembers which companion avatar you have selected | Persistent | Functional |
| displayName | Your preferred display name shown in the companion interface | Persistent | Functional |
| aiName | The name you gave your AI companion | Persistent | Functional |
| language | Your chosen conversation language | Persistent | Functional |
| replyLength | Preferred response length (short / balanced / detailed) | Persistent | Functional |
| voiceMode / voiceStyle | Voice interaction mode and style preferences | Persistent | Functional |
| conversationMemory | Whether AI memory injection is enabled | Persistent | Functional |
| voiceProcessing | Whether microphone voice processing is enabled | Persistent | Functional |
| dataImprovement | Whether anonymous usage sharing is enabled | Persistent | Functional |
The Bronsik Android app does not use traditional browser cookies. Instead, it uses the following analogous technologies to deliver the same functionality:
4.1 WebView Storage
The Android app is built on Trusted Web Activity (TWA) technology, which means it runs the web platform inside a secure Android WebView. The same local storage and session token mechanisms described in Sections 2 and 3 operate within this WebView. These are isolated to the Bronsik app and are not accessible by other apps on your device.
4.2 App-Level Preferences
No additional Android-specific tracking mechanisms (such as AdvertisingID, Firebase Analytics, or Crashlytics) are used in the app beyond what the web platform itself uses. The app does not access your Android Advertising ID.
4.3 Session Persistence on Mobile
When you open the app after a previous login, your session token is restored from WebView storage automatically, keeping you signed in. This is equivalent to a browser "remember me" session and requires the sb-access-token and sb-refresh-token described above. Clearing the app's data in Android Settings will remove these tokens and sign you out.
4.4 No Cross-App Tracking
The Bronsik app does not share any data with other apps on your device, does not use system-level tracking identifiers, and does not participate in any cross-app advertising networks.
A small number of third-party services we use may set their own cookies. These are outside our direct control but are governed by each provider's privacy policy:
We do not embed social media widgets, advertising pixels, third-party analytics scripts, or any other trackers that would set additional cookies on your device.
You can control and manage cookies through your browser or device settings. Most browsers let you:
Important: Blocking essential cookies (Section 2.1) will prevent you from signing in or using Bronsik. All other cookies are optional and can be cleared without affecting core functionality.
Browser-specific instructions:
On the Android app, you can clear all app data (including cookies and local storage) from: Android Settings → Apps → Bronsik → Storage → Clear Data. This will sign you out of the app.
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal to websites. We respect this signal — when DNT is active, we do not use any optional or analytics-related tracking on the web app. Essential authentication cookies remain active regardless, as the Service cannot function without them.
We may update this Cookie Policy as our Service evolves. If we add new types of cookies or tracking technologies, we will update this page and, where significant, notify you through the platform. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.
